- Final Obstacle Course (final Challenge)
This challenge includes obstacles which forces students to use sensors in order to get to the goal area. The robot must first begin at the starting area, touch the wall, follow a line, get to the calibration area using the Sonar, Touch, or Light sensor, and finally getting to the goal. This counts as the final challenge for the robotics quarter.
- Lego Robot Races - Certain years, we will work on gears and gear ratios which will conclude with an autonomous robot race.
- Sumo Challenge - Robots must be programmed to use sensors to interact with other robots.
Line Follower This is from the University of Nevada, but is very similar to what we do in class.
CLose Shave Challenge- The object of this challenge is program the robot to start after a sound and then stop on command to get as close to the lego figure as you can without knocking it over. We will either use sound or timed rotations for this project. This video is from a summer camp and Saturday program.
